ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE APRECIATED ON THE FOLLOWING RADIO I HAVE ACQUIRED IN THE U.K. IT IS IDENTICAL TO A TOSHIBA DEEP V WHICH I HAVE BUT IS BADGED SEABREEZE ON THE FRONT AND ON THE LABEL INSIDE. THE BACK COVER ALSO HAS TOSHIBA IN THE PLASTIC WHICH MY OTHER ONE DOESNT. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY BACKGROUND INFO. ON THIS VARIANT AND ALSO IF THIS VERSION IS ANY RARER THAN THE TOSHIBA AS I CAN ONLY FIND ONE REFERENCE TO THIS ON ANY WEBSITE. MANY THANKS, JOHN.

Hi John, I also have this radio branded as "Seabreeze". I know here in Toronto, Canada Seabreeze either manufactured or distributed various electronic items such as record players and radios. This "deep vee" 6TP-309 was definitely made by Toshiba and was rebranded for the North American or U,K market. Toshiba made radios for many, many companies around the world it seems incluing; Seabreeze, Penny's, RCA Victor and Marconi of Canada, Trancel and many more.here's mine- http://www.flickr.com/photos/transistor_radios/2144770533/in/set-72157603550393022/ I would guess this variant is less common than the Toshiba version. Just recently our fellow collector 'Itatics' found another variant of the deep vee branded as a Murphy.

Hi Michael, Thanks for the info. and link to your site. You have a superb site with many desirable sets on there. Checked out James's site which is also superb with great photography. I would look at these more but would only get jealous. Cheers again for the quick reply and info. John.
