What happens is when you turn the volume knob to on, even on the lowest volume you can hear it 'ramp up' from very quiet to insane loud, even when you leave the volume knob all the way down.

My electronics experience tells me to look at the caps first, but I was wondering if anyone here has more experience than I do at these things.
