The Gathering Place for
Mid-Century Electronics Enthusiasts
Because I have often wished there was a better way to keep in touch with fellow vintage electronics collectors, (particularly folks interested in transistor radios from the 50s and 60s), I set up this website containing a collection of links and tips. It's alsoa place to find schematics, repair parts, restoration how-to information, photos of vintage radios, televisions, test equipment ham gear, and collectible vintage radios. The Message Board, has grown quite nicely. There are some interesting topics, people finding each other, and common ground.  The site is funded by your purchases from my eBay auctions & Store items so thanks for your support.

Last Earphone Nutdriver Shipment?
With the help of some local machine shop folk I have found a way to offer earphone nut drivers again. (These are also called jack nut drivers in some circles.) This intriguing solution is a single two-headed tool precision machined out of serious steel, and these will no doubt outlast us all. The two head sizes will fit virtually all the spanner nuts found on collectible radios, and will reduce the chance of damaging them. I've ordered what might be my last batch that should sell out quickly. They are available now and sell for $19.95 plus $5.00 domestic S/H. To get one visit the Tools Department of  my eBay store.

Regency TR-1 Factory Video
SteveReyer was kind enough to lend me his copy of anIndustry on Parade segment showing Regency TR-1 radios being assembled. It is very cool, & about 3-min. long. If you have Windows Media Player, you can watch a streaming version by clicking here.
